Pet Vital Pulp Therapy

Vital Pulp Therapy is the treatment for patients that are 2 years of age or younger that aims to preserve and maintain the tooth structure as an alternative to extraction or root canal therapy in a living tooth with recent pulp exposure (exposed within 24-48 hours). Using sterile instruments, vital pulp therapy removes a small amount of pulpal tissue, followed by the placement of a pulp dressing and a composite restoration (or “filling”).
